I’m awful at writing about myself. Whenever I have to I go back to the light hearted, attempting to be witty terms – mall loving North Jersey girl turned New Englander, one time galavanting city girl turned suburban mom. Then I sprinkle in some heavy talk about my obsession with motherhood and my love for social media, how I kind of miss the Carla of my college days but love the new life I have at the same time. It’s become a sort of formula for getting through these kinds of tasks. The closest I’ve gotten to really describing myself is creating a 100 things about me list which took me forever to complete.
So instead of sharing the same old information, I thought I’d admit my love for cheesy chain email questionnaires and answer some silly yet revealing questions. Enjoy =)
The Basics: 2 daughters- Dessa 22 months via c-section and Farrah just arrived under a week ago via VBAC (yay!), Jeremy – hubby, college sweetheart and BFF, P. Willow the kit kat, full timer in corporate America currently on maternity leave, blogger and aspiring writer.
Top 5 Movies: Almost Famous, Dirty Dancing, Beaches, Cruel Intentions and Wedding Crashers
Favorite Baby Name We’ll Never Use: Sloan
Dream Job: Indie actress with box office hits every 3-4 years with jaunts around the world in between. It’s a tie with work at home mom (still working on the big idea).
Favorite Foods: Rice, fried platains, sushi, guacamole and a toss up between bananas and pineapple
Parenting Philosophy: Make the choices which make you the best parent possible for your children even if the choice may seem a bit selfish because your kids need the best you.
Favorite TV Shows: Lost, House, Beverly Hills 90210 – the original and Law & Order: SVU
Biggest Achievement To Date: Three way tie – teaching my daughter Spanish, having a successful VBAC and motherhood in general
Favorite Local Beach: Gooseberry Beach in Newport

Just a HUGE congratulations on your VBAC and new baby! I wish more women knew they had that choice, and how to go about getting a fair shake at it. If you have any resources or advice to share I’m sure many would like to read about it. Gooseberry is one of my favorite beaches too!
Gooseberry is my favorite beach as well- I used to live around the corner from it when I moved here from N.Y.

I read your blog about your delivery and cannot believe how perfectly everything went. I even shared it with my friends who are pregnant with their first child as inspiration that you can “have it your way” and do it without pressures of people pushing pain meds and medical intervention.
